4. PERFORMANCE

The power of the pump depends on the orientation of the solar panel to the sun and its intensity. The
maximum output is achieved under optimal conditions in summer and partly in autumn and spring.
Continuous operation in the shade or on cloudy days cannot be guaranteed. For models with battery
operation, the function depends on the charge status of the batteries.
z Press the On/Off button on the back of the solar panel to switch on the pump. The battery indica-
tor lights up. Pressing" always means „touching", as a sensor is used as a „pressure switch".
z Press the On/Off button on the back of the solar panel to switch off the pump. The battery indica-
tor goes out.
z The LED light starts to glow when it gets dark.
z When the battery power is low, the system automatically switches off the pump to protect the bat-
teries. The indicator light goes out. The pump does not operate until the batteries are recharged.
The charging time depends on the intensity of the sunlight.
z The charging process is interrupted as soon as the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharging.
z The pump starts automatically the next morning when the solar panel receives sufficient sunlight
and the batteries have reached the minimum charge level. Usually, the pump is then switched on
and the batteries continue to be charged in parallel.

4.1 FROST
Frost can cause damage to the garden fountain and pump. If there is a
risk of frost, the garden fountain and the pump must be emptied, rinsed
with clean water and stored in a dry place. Then you will enjoy it for a
very long time!
Fill the fountain with water.
The pump must be completely sub-
merged in water, otherwise the pump will
be damaged.
