12. Flying the model

If you are flying the model for the first time, read the instructions in section 14. Flight instructions for
beginners.
The flight time depends on how you fly the model and the outdoor temperature. The battery perfor-
mance decreases at lower outdoor temperatures.
Fly the model within the range of the remote control/receiver signal. See the 20. Technical data
section for details.
The model can only be flown at wind speeds of up to 8 km/h.

12.1 Selecting the flight mode

The model has two modes:
• Stabilisation mode: The pilot is assisted by the virtual pilot. Beginners should always select stabilisation mode.
• Manual mode: the model is controlled exclusively by the pilot.
Select the desired mode by pressing the MODE button (R3):
• 1x beep: Stabilisation mode
• 2x beeps: Manual mode

12.2 Setting elevator response

Toggle the elevator response between soft and hard with the SPEED (R15) button:
• 2x beeps: hard, 1x beep: soft
Whenever you turn on the remote control the soft setting is applied.

12.3 Take-off / Checking trim settings / Landing / Ending the flight

Prerequisites: The flight battery is connected and the remote control is switched on and ready for use.
Fly the model as follows:
1. Unlock the motor via the motor lock button
2. Press the timer button
- The maximum flight time is 10 minutes.
