USE
• On/off
- switch on/off tool by pressing/releasing trigger switch
A 2
- use the tool in electrical mode for fastening/
loosening
- use the tool in manual mode for tightening/breaking
loose
• Manual mode (automatic locking system)
- locks output drive E 2 in one position when trigger
switch A 2 is released
- allows you to tighten or break loose screws/bolts/
nuts by hand (convenient when higher turning torque
is needed)
• Charging battery 2
! a lithium-ion battery that is new or has not been
used for a longer period does not develop its full
capacity until after approximately 3 charging/
discharging cycles
- plug charger into power source
- light C will turn on GREEN indicating that the charger
is ready for operation
- insert tool into charger
- light C will turn RED indicating that the battery is
being charged
- after 3-5 hours the battery is fully charged and
charging automatically stops (light C will turn GREEN
again)
- the tool may be used, even though light C may still
be RED (the light may require more than 3 hours to
turn GREEN depending on temperature)
- if the tool is used only briefl y, the charging time can
be very short
- unplug the charger when the battery is fully charged
IMPORTANT:
- if light C does not turn RED after inserting tool into
charger, this may mean that the battery is too cold or
too hot; when the battery temperature returns to
between 0°C and 45°C, the charger will automatically
begin charging
- the lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time
(interrupting the charging procedure does not
damage the battery)
- while charging, the charger and the battery may
become warm to touch; this is normal and does not
indicate a problem
- do not charge at temperatures below 0°C and over
45°C; this will seriously damage the battery as well
as the charger
- when the lithium-ion battery is empty, the tool is
switched off automatically
! do not continue to press the on/off switch after
the tool is switched off automatically; battery may
be damaged
- the battery must be kept separate from the natural
environment and should not be disposed of as
normal domestic waste (symbol 7 will remind you of
this when the need for disposing occurs)
• Changing direction of rotation 8
- for forward (F) rotation move lever D counter-
clockwise
- for reverse (R) rotation move lever D clockwise
• Mounting/removing of accessories 9
- for mounting simply push accessory (socket or
bitholder) onto output drive E
- for removing simply pull accessory off output drive E
! only use accessories with a 1/4" square drive
• Operating the tool
FASTENING:
- place fastener by hand onto/into its threaded
counterpart
- securely mount the proper accessory onto output
drive E 2
- select forward rotation with lever D 2
- place the accessory onto screw/bolt/nut
- pull trigger switch A 2 and hold it while tightening
fastener until output drive E no longer rotates
- release trigger switch A
- tighten fastener to desired torque in the manual
mode
LOOSENING:
- securely mount the proper accessory onto output
drive E
- select reverse rotation with lever D
- place the accessory onto screw/bolt/nut
- if necessary, fi rst break loose fastener in the manual
mode
- pull trigger switch A as soon as the fastener has
broken loose
! do not allow a fastener to spin freely, as it may be
thrown out of the accessory
• Overload protection
- switches off the tool automatically when the load is
too high
- wait for 3 seconds before switching on the tool again
! do not continue to press the on/off switch after
the tool is switched off automatically; battery may
be damaged
• Mounting charger on the wall 0
• Vibration level
The vibration emission level stated at the back of this
instruction manual has been measured in accordance
with a standardised test given in EN 60745; it may be
used to compare one tool with another and as a
preliminary assessment of exposure to vibration when
using the tool for the applications mentioned
- using the tool for different applications, or with
different or poorly maintainted accessories, may
signifi cantly increase the exposure level
- the times when the tool is switched off or when it is
running but not actually doing the job, may
signifi cantly reduce the exposure level
! protect yourself against the effects of vibration by
maintaining the tool and its accessories, keeping
your hands warm, and organizing your work
patterns
