Press and hold the button on the dash-

board until the trunk lid begins to open.
Press lightly on the trunk lid's outside handle.

18 Vehicles equipped with keyless locking and unlocking (Passive Entry*) have a button for closing and a button for closing and locking.
Move your foot in a kicking motion* under the

rear bumper.

To close the power trunk lid, do one of the fol-
lowing:
KEY, LOCKS AND ALARM
Press the button on the lower edge of
–
the trunk lid to close.
> The trunk lid will close automatically – the
trunk lid will remain unlocked.
NOTE
The button remains active 24 hours after
•
the tailgate was opened. After this time,
the tailgate must be closed manually.
If the tailgate has been open for more than
•
30 minutes, it will automatically close
slowly.
