Cleaning the chain
Notice
Never use aggressive (acid-based) cleaners,
rust removers or degreasers when cleaning
the chain.
Do not use chain cleaning devices or chain
cleaning baths.
Slightly dampen a brush with dish-washing
liquid. Brush both sides of the chain.
Dampen a cloth with soapy water. Place the
cloth on the chain.
Hold and apply slight pressure while slowly
turning the rear wheel, so the chain passes
through the cloth.
If the chain is still dirty afterwards, clean it with
lubricant.
Service the chain after cleaning.

Cleaning the battery
CAUTION
!
Risk of fire and explosion due to penetration by
water
The battery is only protected from simple spray
water. Penetration by water can cause a short
circuit. The battery may self-ignite and explode.
Never clean the battery with a high-pressure
water device, water jet or compressed air.
Keep the contacts clean and dry.
Never immerse the battery in water.
Never use cleaning agents.
Remove the battery from the pedelec before
cleaning.

thinners, alcohol, oil and corrosion protection,
or with cleaning agents.
Clean the battery electrical connections with a
dry cloth or brush only.
Wipe off the decorative sides with a damp
cloth.

Notice
If water enters into the display screen, it will be
permanently damaged.
Never immerse the display in water.
Never clean with a high-pressure water
device, water jet or compressed air.
Never use cleaning agents.
Remove the display from the pedelec before
cleaning.
Carefully clean the display with a damp, soft
cloth.

Cleaning the drive unit
CAUTION
!
Burns from hot drive
The drive cooler can become extremely hot
during use. Contact may cause burns.
Leave the drive unit to cool before cleaning.
