The protective guard for cutting (16) is fitted in the same
way as the protective guard for grinding (15).
Metal cover for cutting
Fit the metal cover for cutting (17) on the protective guard
for grinding (15) (see figure A): Swivel the tool retainer back
(➊). Attach the cover (17) to the protective guard for
grinding (15) (➋). Press the tool retainer firmly into place
on the protective guard (15) (➌).
To remove the cover (see figure B), press the button on the
tool retainer (➊) and swivel it back (➋). Remove the
cover (17) from the protective guard (15) (➌).
Plastic cover for cutting
Attach the plastic cover for cutting (17) to the protective
guard for grinding (15) (see figure C). The cover (17) aud-
ibly and visually engages on the protective guard (15).
To remove the cover (see figure D), unlock the cover (17) on
the left- or right-hand side of the protective guard (15) (➊)
and remove the cover (➋).
Extraction guard for cutting with a guide block
The extraction guard for cutting with a guide block (29) is fit-
ted in the same way as the protective guard for grinding
(15).
Hand guard
Always fit the hand guard (28) when working with the
u
rubber sanding pad (30) or with the cup brush/conical
brush/diamond annular cutter.
Attach the hand guard (28) to the auxiliary handle (11)/
(10).
Standard auxiliary handle/low-vibration auxiliary handle
Screw the auxiliary handle (11)/(10) on the right or left of
the machine head depending on the working method.
Do not operate your power tool without the auxiliary
u
handle (11)/(10).
Do not continue to use the power tool if the auxiliary
u
handle (11)/(10) is damaged. Do not make any altera-
tions to the auxiliary handle (11)/(10).
The low-vibration auxiliary handle
(10) reduces vibration, enabling the
tool to be used safely and more com-
fortably.
Fitting the Abrasive Tools
Remove the battery from the power tool before carry-
u
ing out work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance,
changing tool, etc.). The battery should also be re-
moved for transport and storage. There is risk of injury
from unintentionally pressing the on/off switch.
Do not touch grinding and cutting discs until they have
u
cooled down. The discs can become very hot while work-
ing.
Clean the grinding spindle (27) and all the parts to be fitted.
Lock the grinding spindle with the spindle lock button (3)
before clamping and releasing the abrasive tools.

Do not press the spindle lock button while the grind-
u
ing spindle is moving. The power tool may become dam-
aged if you do this.
Grinding/Cutting Disc
Pay attention to the dimensions of the abrasive tools. The
diameter of the hole must match that of the hub flange. Do
not use an adapter or reducer.
When using diamond cutting discs, ensure that the arrow in-
dicating the direction of rotation on the diamond cutting disc
matches the direction of rotation of the power tool (see the
direction of rotation arrow on the machine head).
See the graphics page for fitting instructions.
Use the quick-clamping nut (25) to secure the grinding/cut-
ting disc without the need for additional tools.
Note: When assembling bonded grinding or cutting discs us-
ing the supplied mounting flange (18) and the quick-clamp-
ing nut (25), the use of intermediate layers is not necessary.
To secure the grinding/cutting disc, place the mounting
flange with O-ring (18) on the grinding spindle (27) and
screw on the quick-clamping nut (25).
Only use the quick-clamping nut (25) for grinding/cutting
discs up to a maximum diameter of 150 mm.
The quick-clamping nut (25) may be used only for
u
grinding or cutting discs.
Only use quick-clamping nuts (25) that are in good
u
working order and not damaged.
When screwing on, make sure that the printed side of
u
the quick-clamping nut (25) is not facing the grinding
disc.
Always secure a grinding/cutting disc using only the
u
quick-clamping nut (25) supplied.
Press the spindle lock button (3) to
lock the grinding spindle. To tighten
the quick-clamping nut (25), fold up
the bar and turn the quick-clamping
nut firmly clockwise. Then fold down
the bar to secure the quick-clamping
nut. It is not sufficient to tighten the
disc along the edge.
Quick-clamping nuts (25) that are
properly secured and not damaged
can be removed by hand. To do this,
fold up the bar and turn the quick-
clamping nut firmly anticlockwise. If
the quick-clamping nut is stuck, do not
attempt to loosen it with a tool – al-
ways use a two-pin spanner.
