COLD AREA RECOMMENDATION
- Outdoor heat pump unit : install the unit at least 10 cm above ground level to facilitate drainage of defrost water
and prevent accumulation of ice. In effect, defrost water can cause accumulation of ice under the unit during
subfreezing outdoor temperatures.
- In areas with heavy snowfall it is best to install the unit on wall supports.
- In some regions. It is necessary to heat the bottom of the condensate drainage pan and the condensate drainage piping to
avoid ice formation, and resulting ice build-up in the fan compartment (heater strip must be at least 25 W/m).
