Using the Appliance

This appliance is designed for domestic use
only, specifically for the storage of edible food-
stuffs.
The appliance is designed to operate in ambient temper-
atures (surrounding air temperature) between 10 °C and
32 °C.
If these temperatures are exceeded i.e. colder or
warmer, the appliance will not operate correctly. Should
the ambient temperatures be exceeded for long periods,
the temperature in the freezer section will rise above -18
°C and food spoilage may occur.

Before Use

Remove all packaging and securing tapes. Wash inside
the appliance with lukewarm water and bicarbonate of
soda (5 ml to 0,5 litre of water). Do not use soap or deter-
gent as the smell may linger. Dry thoroughly.
Do not use detergents, abrasive powders, high-
ly perfumed cleaning products, wax polishes or
products containing alcohol.

Putting it into use

Place the accessories into the appliance then plug to the
mains socket.
The thermostat knob is on the light box in the refrigerator.
You can switch the appliance on and set the temperature
with it by turning the knob clockwise.
The next paragraph will give instructions for setting.

To Start the Appliance

1.
Allow the appliance to stand for 2 hrs after installa-
tion.
2.
Plug in the appliance and switch on at the mains
supply.
3.
The thermostat interrupts the cooling automatically
for more or less time depending on the setting then
restarts it assuring the required temperature.
The closer it is set to maximum position the colder it
will be. When the thermostat knob is set to a medi-
um position (between minimum and maximum), in
the freezer a temperature colder than -18°C, in the
refrigerator around +5°C can be reached. Setting it
to a medium position is adequate for everyday use.
The temperature in the refrigerator is affected by not
only the position of the thermostat but the ambient
temperature, frequency of door openings and the
quantity of food put into it etc.
6
In the maximum position - in case of increased
demand e.g. during heatwaves -the compres-
sor may operate continually. This does not cause
damages to the appliance.
4.
Leave the appliance for approximately 2 hours for the
correct temperature to be reached before placing
food inside.
Do not allow children to tamper with the controls
or play with the product.

ment. The storage times quoted are intended as a guide
