Overheat Alert; Water Separator Alert - Yamaha VZ175 Owner's Manual

Instruments and indicators
When the buzzer sounds and the oil level-
alert indicator blinks, check the oil level and
add the oil if necessary. If the alert device
has activated while the appropriate engine
oil level is maintained, consult your Yamaha
dealer.

Do not continue to run the engine if the oil
level alert device has activated. Serious
engine damage will occur.

Overheat alert

If the engine temperature rises too high while
cruising, the overheat-alert indicator will start
to blink. The engine speed will automatically
decrease to about 2000 r/min.

Stop the engine immediately if the buzzer
sounds and the overheat alert device has ac-
tivated. Check the cooling water inlet for
clogging.

your Yamaha dealer if the problem can-
not be located and corrected.

Water separator alert

This indicator will blink if water has accumu-
lated in the water separator (fuel filter) while
cruising. In such an event, stop the engine
immediately and see page 80 of this manual
to drain the water from the fuel filter. Get
back to the port soon and consult a Yamaha
