Jump Start (Dead Battery)

If the vehicle cannot be started without
power, you can borrow the battery of
another vehicle to provide power for your
vehicle through jump start.
Preparation before Jump Start
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Engage "N".
3. Turn off all electrical accessories.
Notes
Turn off the audio equipment before
jump start of the vehicle. Otherwise, the
audio system may be damaged.
When the vehicle is running at a low
speed for a long time (such as traffic jam),
turn off all unnecessary electrical systems.

Jumper Cable Connection
In case of jump start of the vehicle, connect
the jumper cable in the following order:
1. Clip one end of the first jumper cable
to the positive terminal of the powered
battery. (There is a "+" mark on the
battery housing or the terminal)
2. Clip the other end of the jumper cable to
the positive terminal of the dead battery.
(There is a "+" mark on the terminal.)
3. Clip one end of the second jumper cable
to the negative terminal of the powered
battery. (There is a "-" mark on the
battery housing or the terminal)
4. Connect the other end of the cable to
the body ground of the vehicle that has
no electricity.
5. After connection, follow the starting
steps to make the vehicle enter the
READY state and complete the starting.
6. To remove the jumper cable carefully in
reverse order, remove the negative cable
first and then the positive cable.

Towing

If towing is necessary, please contact the
After-Sales Service Center or a professional
towing service company.
Tow your vehicle with a wheel lifter.
1. Turn on the hazard warning flasher.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ACC position.
3. Engage "N".
4. Release the parking brake.
5. Rear wheels must be off the ground when

towing.
