3. Align the 2 holes in the right light-bar strap with the 2
holes 9.5 mm (3/8 inch) holes in the right side plate
(Figure 5).
Engine model shown; the electrical models are similar.
1. Front of the machine
2. Flange locknut (3/8 inch)
3. Hole (right side plate)
4. Assemble the right light-bar strap to the right side plate
(Figure 5) with the 2 flange-head bolts (3/8 x 1-1/4
inches) and 2 flange locknuts (3/8 inch).
5. Torque the flange-head bolts and flange nuts to 37 to
45 N∙m (27 to 33 ft-lb).
Assembling the Light-Bar Straps
1. Align the holes in the light-bar straps as follows:
•
Flex and eFlex 1800 series machines—align the
2 holes furthest from the straight ends of the left
light-bar strap and the right light-bar strap (A of
Figure 6).
•
Flex and eFlex 2100 series machines—align
the 2 holes closest to the straight ends of the left
light-bar strap and the right light-bar strap (B of
Figure 6).

2. Assemble the light-bar straps with the 2 flange-head
bolts (5/16 x 1 inch), 2 washers (5/16 inch), and 2
flange locknut (5/16 inch).
3. Torque the nuts and bolts to 1,978 to 2,542 N∙cm (175
to 225 in-lb).
