Component identification

Component identification

  • This watch is solar-powered. Expose the dial to light and use it sufficiently charged.
  • To see details of charging time, specifications and operations, refer to the instruction manual.
  • Actual appearance may differ from the illustration.
  • The crown has two positions when pulling it out.

Checking the time with chimes

  • You can not use this function while using the chronograph.
  1. Push the crown in to position .
  2. Press and hold the upper right button for 2 seconds or more.
    Combination of high and low tones of chimes tells you the time of the sub watch.
    • The 3 tones mean "hour", "quarter of hour" and "minute" as shown below.
    • Meaning of the tones
Hight Length Meaning
High Long "Hour"
Low Long "minute"
High-low combination two short tones "quarter of hour"
  • Ex.: 4: 36

To stop the chimes
Press any button.

Setting the time and day of week

This watch is equipped with two watches: the main watch and the sub watch.
They control hands shown as follows.

Hands
Main watch Hour, 24-hour, minute and second hands
Sub watch Chimes (Chronograph hour and minute hands when adjusting the time)
  1. Pull the crown out to position when the second hand points 0 second.
    The second hand stops and the chronograph hour and minute hands indicate the hour and the minute of the sub watch respectively.
  2. Rotate the crown to set the day of week of the main watch.
    • The hour, minute and 24-hour hands move synchronously.
    • Rotate the crown left and right and move the hour hand from PM 10 to AM 2 to move the day-of-week hand quickly.
  3. Rotate the crown to set the time of the main watch.
    • Check whether the time set is AM or PM with the 24-hour hand.
  4. Press and release the lower right button or the upper right button to adjust the sub watch.
    • Each time you press button , the hands move forward by 1 minute; each time you press the button , they move back by 1 minute.
    • They move continuously while you are pressing and holding the button.
    • Check whether the time set is AM or PM with the chronograph second hand.

  5. Push the crown in to position in accordance with a reliable time source.
    The second hand starts moving.

Setting the year, month and date

  • The calendar of this watch does not have to be adjusted manually until February 28, 2100 including leap years. (perpetual calendar)
  • Day of week is set while setting the time of the main watch.
  1. Pull the crown out to position .
  2. Press and release the lower right button or the upper right button to adjust the date.
    • Each time you press button , the date indication moves forward by 1 day; each time you press button , it moves back by 1 day.
    • It moves continuously while you are pressing and holding the button.
  3. Press and release the lower left button to adjust the year and month.
  • Each time you press the button, the chronograph hour and minute hands move by 1 month.
  • They move continuously while you are pressing and holding the button.
  • The year corresponds to the years since leap year.

0 (leap year) L.Y.

2 years 2
3 years 3

Setting the year, month and date
Ex.: When setting it June of 1 year since the leap year

  1. Push the crown in to position to finish the procedure.

Checking the reference position

  1. Push the crown in to position .
  2. Press and hold the lower right button for 5 seconds or more.
    The chronograph hour and minute hands show the time of the sub watch.
  3. Press and release the lower right button .
    The chronograph hour, minute and second hands and date indication move to their current reference position.
  • Correct reference positions:
    Chronograph hour, minute and second hands: 12 o'clock position
    Date indication: "1"
    Checking the reference position
    When the current reference position is different from the correct one, adjust the position following the steps of "Correcting the reference position".
  1. Press and release any button to finish the procedure.
  • It returns to normal indication automatically in about 2 minutes without any operation.

Correcting the reference position

  1. Pull the crown out to position .
    The second hand stops.
  2. Press and hold the lower left button for 5 seconds or more.
    The mode hand, sub-watch hour and minute hands move one by one and the alarm sounds.
  3. Press and release the lower left button repeatedly to change the hand/indication to be corrected.
    • Each time you press the button, the target changes as follows:
      Chronograph hour and minute hands → chronograph second hand → date indication → (back to the top)
  4. Press and release the lower right button or the upper right button to adjust the target.
    • Each time you press button , the target moves forward by 1 step; each time you press the button , it move back by 1 step.
    • They move continuously while you are pressing and holding the button.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4.
  6. Push the crown in to position to finish the procedure.

Resetting the watch - All Reset

  1. Pull the crown out to position .
  2. Press and release buttons , and at the same time.
    All reset is executed and alarm sounds.

After All Reset
After All Reset, adjust the reference position and set the time and calendar.
