4 Shipment and on-site trans-

The work described in this section is only to
be performed by personnel appropriately
qualified to carry out such tasks.
4.1 Accepting the delivered
goods
After receiving the shipment, proceed as fol-
lows:
1. Compare the shipment received with the
delivery note.
2. Check the shipment for transportation
damage. Report any damage to SAM-
SON and the forwarding agent (refer to
delivery note).
4.2 Removing the packaging
from the web terminal
NOTICE

Risk of device damage due to foreign parti-
cles entering it.
Î Do not remove the packaging and pro-
tective films until immediately before
mounting.
1. Remove the packaging from the device.
2. Check scope of delivery (see Fig. 4-1).
3. Dispose of the packaging in accordance
with the valid regulations.

4.3 Transporting the web
terminal
Î Protect the device against external influ-
ences (e.g. impact).
Î Protect the device against moisture and
dirt.
Î Observe the permissible transportation
temperature range of 0 to 70 °C.
4.4 Storing the web terminal

Risk of damage to the web terminal due to
incorrect storage.
Î Observe the storage instructions.
Î Avoid long storage times.
Î Contact SAMSON in case of different
storage conditions or longer storage
times.
