This document provides installation steps for racking, cabling, and configuring the Nexsan EZ-NAS storage

Taking delivery
Your Nexsan shipment includes the EZ-NAS storage
system and other optional components, such as data
drives or network ports, depending on your
configuration. Check to ensure no damage has been
sustained to the packaging in transit.

Description
Four 3.5" Hard Disk Drives (HDDs), slot1 on left to slot4 on right.
See page 4 section 6 of this guide for LED indication descriptions.
To power on/off the unit, or to reset.
Two 8-cm mid-mounted cooling fans and two 4-cm exhaust fans.
2000W Titanium level power supply.
Serial connection
For VGA display or monitor.
Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI), for remote
access, monitoring, and management.
Can support USB-enabled devices such as keyboard, mouse,
USB/SATA DVD drive, or flash drive.

Top port: Management interface (Interface-2).

Bottom port: Primary data network interface (Interface-1).

Small Form Pluggable (SFP) for gigabit interface.
