SETTING STANDARDS
The PNS-3000 pin seal diameter gage setting
standard is an adjustable standard used to preset
the PN-3000 series pin seal gages. The PN-3000
PNS-3000
gages use a dial indicator to compare a known
Pin Seal Gage
diameter to the diameter of the machined piece.
Setting Master
The PNS-3000 is adjusted to any diameter within
the range of the standard. The standard is easy to
setup and provides an accurate master on which
to null the PN-3000 indicator.
The PNS-3000 has two adjustable blocks that ride
on 2 precision ground rails. The upper block is
connected to a fine adjustment thumbscrew, the
lower block slides on the rails and is locked in
place with 2 setscrews located on the bottom of
the block.
The contact points of the PN-3000 gage contact
the hardened pads that are inset into the upper
and lower blocks. The setting dimension for the
standard is the dimension over these 2 pads.
