HEALTH & SAFETY INFORMATION 5.1 GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR POWER TOOL USE When using any type of power tool there are steps that should be taken to make sure that you, as the user, remain safe. Common sense and a respect for the tool will help reduce the risk of injury. Read the instruction manual fully.
Page 7 HEALTH & SAFETY INFORMATION Ensure that mounted wheels and points are fitted in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions; Ensure that blotters are used when they are provided with the bonded abrasive product and when they are required; Ensure that the abrasive product is correctly mounted and tightened before use and run the tool at no-load for 30 seconds in a safe position, stop immediately if there is considerable vibration or if other defects are detected.

Before further use of the tool, a guard or other part that is damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment of moving parts, free running of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting and any other conditions that may affect its operation.

Lay the contents out and check them against the parts shown below. If any part is damaged or missing; please contact the Draper Helpline (the telephone number appears on the Title page) and do not attempt to use the grinder.

NOTE: Never press the spindle lock button while the spindle is in motion. FIG.4 For cutting applications, and to comply to current legislation, it is necessary to replace the "grinding" guard supplied with this machine for the "cutting guard" *Stock number 18631 available from Draper.

12. MAINTENANCE 12.1 MAINTENANCE & PARTS REPLACEMENT Regular inspection and cleaning reduces the necessity for maintenance operations and will keep your tool in good working condition. The motor must be correctly ventilated during tool operation. For this reason avoid blocking the air inlets.
