DSE (Digital Special Effect) in CAMERA mode

The digital effects enable you to give a creative look to your shooting by adding various special effects.
Select the appropriate digital effect for the type of picture that you wish to shoot and the effect that you
wish to give.
There are 12 DSE modes.
1. Normal picture: This mode uses a normal image without DSE effect.
2. MAKE-UP: This mode allows the image to be selected only in
red, yellow, green or blue colours.
3. EMBOSS: This mode gives the image a 3D effect.
4. WIDE(16:9): This mode allows WIDE(16:9) television display.
5. CINEMA: This mode covers upper/lower portion of the screen
to give movie-like effect.
6. NEG.(Negative): This mode allows the shoots to be taken
by reflecting the colour of the image.
7. MIRROR: This mode cuts the image by half,
using the mirror effect.
8. MOSAIC: This mode gives the image a checkered design.
9. B/W(Black & White): This mode allows the image to be
in black and white.
10. SEPIA: This mode gives the image the SEPIA effect.
11. GHOST: This mode gives the image a dragging effect.
(VP-M53/M54 only)
12. STROBE: This mode shoots by inserting cutting effect on the image.
In the STROBE effect there are 25 field(1), 12 field(2), 6 field(3)
effects and as a reference, there are 50 field in the normal picture.
(VP-M53/M54 only)
13. LSS (Low Speed Shutter, VP-M53/M54 only) mode (LSS)
To shoot with more brightness in a gloomy area.
The shutter speed can be chosen from 1/25(1), 1/12(2),
and 1/6(3).
It is recommended that you use MF (Manual Focus) if
AF (Auto Focus) activates slowly while you are in the LSS mode.
Note: DIS, PIP and SNAP SHOT function will not operate in DSE mode. (VP-M53/M54)
