In the case of Work and Charter Vesels we suggest it is carried out more frequently. Line Care Muir winches are designed to run on 3-strand nylon line (supplied by Muir) which has been specially treated with fabric softener to prevent it from hardening. It is recommended to soak your rope in fresh water containing fabric softener every 3 months.
