Line Care Muir Capstans are designed to run on 3-strand nylon line (supplied by Muir) which has been specially treated with fabric softener to prevent it from hardening. It is recommended to soak your rope in fresh water containing fabric softener every 3 months. -

3. Check the drive key between the gearbox and motor input. HYDRAULIC MOTOR Refer any problems with your hydraulic motor to a Muir service agent or Muir Hobart. Rope/Chain Splice.
