5. Remove the storage drive. See "Replacing the storage drive" on page 85.
6. Remove the card reader. See "Replacing the card reader" on page 87.
7. Remove the front audio and USB assembly. See "Replacing the front audio and USB assembly" on
page 88.
8. Locate the system fan assembly. See "Computer components" on page 31.
9. Note the cable routing and disconnect the system fan assembly cables from the system board. See
"Parts on the system board" on page 34.
10. The system fan assembly is attached to the chassis by four rubber mounts. Remove the system fan
assembly by cutting the rubber mounts and lifting the system fan assembly out of the chassis.
Note: The new system fan assembly comes with four new rubber mounts attached.

11. Install the new system fan assembly by aligning the new rubber mounts that came with the new system
fan assembly with the corresponding holes in the chassis, and then push the rubber mounts through the
holes. Then, carefully pull on the tips of the rubber mounts from the bottom until the new system fan
assembly is secured in place.
