7. Remove the screw that secures the hard disk drive bracket. Then, remove the hard disk drive bracket
out of the chassis.

8. Remove the four screws that secure the hard disk drive. Then, slide the hard disk drive out of the
hard disk drive bracket.

9. Take the new hard disk drive out of the static-protective package.
10. Slide the hard disk drive into the hard disk drive bracket so that the holes in the drive are aligned with
the corresponding holes in the bracket. Then, install the four screws to secure the hard disk drive to
the bracket.
11. Position the hard disk drive bracket into the chassis so that the hole in the bracket is aligned with the
corresponding hole in the chassis. Then, install the screw to secure the hard disk drive bracket to
the chassis.
12. Connect the signal cable and the power cable to the new hard disk drive.
13. Reinstall the optical drive. See "Replacing the optical drive" on page 83.
14. Reinstall the front bezel. See "Replacing the front bezel" on page 82.
