Erase user information: erases all data and resets your
PDA phone to the factory setting. Before using this
option, make sure that your phone is turned on.
Note: This option erases all data in your PDA phone including
entries in your Addressbook, your schedule and so on.
You can not erase the data stored in the R-UIM card.
If you tap the option you want, the Notice dialog box
appears.Tap OK to delete the selected data or Cancel to
cancel it. When the Erase user information option is
selected, the phone turns itself off and back on and then
returns to the Launcher mode.
Setting the R-UIM Card's Security
A PIN (Personal Identification Number) is usually supplied
with your R-UIM card and it protects your R-UIM card
against unauthorized use. You can change the PIN, lock
the R-UIM card and reset the information in the R-UIM
card.
To set up the R-UIM Card options:
1. On the Phone screen, tap Setting at the bottom of the
screen and select R-UIM.
You can also access this mode from the Launcher mode
by tapping
2. Enter the password by tapping the number button.
The password number is preset to "0000" at the
factory. You can change the password using
Password. See page 9-3.
3. You can access the R-UIM card's security options in the
PIN Check, Change PIN, R-UIM Lock, My Phone
#, and Clear Memory tabs. Tap the tab of the option
you want to set.
