PIN Check
In the PIN Check tab, you can enable or disable the PIN
Check feature. Select the option either Enable or
Disable and tap the Change button. When you are asked
to enter the password, enter the password in the
Password field and then tap the OK button. "Enable" or
"Disable" appears in the Current status field. The PIN
code is preset to "1234".
When the PIN Check feature is enabled, you must enter
your PIN assigned to your R-UIM card each time you turn
the phone on. Consequently, any person who does not
have your PIN cannot use your phone without your
approval. But emergency calls are available without the
PIN code.
If you select Disable, the phone connects directly to the
network when you turn the phone on.
Change PIN
The Change PIN tab allows you to change your current
PIN of the R-UIM card to a new one, provided that the
PIN Check feature is enabled. You must enter the
current PIN in the Current PIN code field before you can
specify a new one. The PIN code is preset to "1234". Then
enter a new PIN code in the New PIN code field. Once
you have entered a new PIN, you are asked to confirm it
by entering it again. Enter the new PIN code again in the
Re-type PIN code field and select the Change button.
