GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be grounded.
In the event of a malfunction or
breakdown, grounding will reduce
the risk of electric shock by
providing a path of least resistance
for electric current. This appliance is
equipped with a cord having an
equipment-grounding conductor
and a grounding plug. The plug
must be plugged into an appropriate
outlet that is properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all
local codes an ordinances.
WARNING - Improper connection of
the equipment-grounding conductor
can result in a risk of electric shock.
Check with a qualified electrician or
service representative if you are in
doubt as to whether the appliance is
properly grounded.
Do not modify the plug provided
with the appliance; if it wil not fit the
outlet, have a proper outlet installed
by a qualified electrician.

This installation should be performed
by an experienced and qualified
technician, in accordance with local
codes and regulations
The washing machine is supplied with a
5'3" long, 4 wire cord, ending in a
NEMA 14-30 P plug, ready for
connection to a 120/208-240 V, 30 A,
60 Hz, AC power supply.
"EASY INSTALLATION KIT"
If a dedicated 4 wire, 120/208-240 V,
30 Amp line is not available for this
appliance, an optional "Easy Installation
Kit" will allow you to connect to a 240 V,
30 Amp line.
This dual receptacle, wall mounted
connection box can ONLY be used for
connecting the W 1753 Miele clothes
washer and the T 7634 or T 7644 C
clothes dryer to an existing 30 Amp
(NEMA 14-30 R) outlet.
Miele recommends to wall mount the
easy installation kit adjacent to existing
electric outlets.
