Roland HipHop Collection SR-JV80-12 Owner's Manual

Thank you for choosing the Roland SR-JV80-12 "HipHop
Collection" Wave Expansion Board.
The SR-JV80-12 features waveforms, patches, and rhythm sets that
offer phrase loops, synth bass, brass, voices, and a wide variety of
sound effects and drum sounds that fit in perfectly with hip-hop (and
other dance music, including R&B, soul, jazz, funk, and reggae). The
board is packed with 43 different phrase loop waveforms. And, if you
use the XP-60/80's or JV-2080's Tempo Sync function, it's easy to
get in sync with sequencers or other devices. You get a great variety
of sound effects, including guitar, brass, scratch, and voice sounds.
And, in addition to tried-and-true favorites—like sounds from the TR-
808 and TR-707—the SR-JV80-12 also comes equipped with a full
set of drum and rhythm sounds processed with effects like "Lo-Fi,"
giving you that signature hip-hop sound and style. Put it all together,
and you have the best selection of sounds for keeping you at the
leading edge on the hip-hop dance scene.

256 kinds designed for the JV-1010/1080/2080 & XP series; another
255 for the JV-80/880/90/1000.
(On the JD-990, you can use Patches designed to be used with the
JV-80/880/90/1000 if you "Convert Load" them first.)
● Rhythm Sets
8 kinds designed for the JV-1010/1080/2080 & XP series; another 2
for the JV-90/1000.
Some waveforms included with this expansion board were created by CHRONIC
MUSIC (U.S.A.).
The Rhythm Sets in this expansion board cannot be used with the
JV-80/880 or JD-990.

■INSTALLING THE EXPANSION BOARD

Turn off your instrument.
*
1. Remove the cover located on the bottom (or top) of your instrument.
2. Check that the plastic board holders are positioned as shown. Rotate
them if necessary.
3. While positioning the holes on the board over the board holders,
carefully insert the connector on the board into the socket on the
instrument. Make sure the connector is securely connected, and that
all three board holders project through the holes.
* Do not touch any of the printed circuit pathways or connection
terminals.
* Never use excessive force when installing a Expansion Board. If it
doesn't fit properly on the first attempt, remove the board and try again.
4. Use the supplied Installation Tool to turn the holders in the LOCK
direction, so the board will be fastened in place.
(To remove the Expansion Board, turn the board holders in the
UNLOCK direction, and lift up the board using the provided tool.
Remove the board and secure the cover plate.)
* When Expansion Board installation is complete, double-check your work.
5. Check if the Expansion Board is correctly installed.
If the "EXP" display cannot be selected (doesn't appear) in the Waveform
Selection Screen (refer to the owner's manual of the instrument you use),
remove the Expansion Board and install it properly.

「HipHop Collection」をお買い上げ頂きましてまことにありがとうござ
います。このエクスパンション・ボードには、ヒップ・ホップを中心と
したダンス・ミュージック（Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Funk, Reggae等）
に対応できるフレーズ・ループやシンセ・ベース、ブラス、ボイス、各
種サウンド・エフェクト、各種ドラムサウンド等のウェーブフォーム、
パッチ、リズムセットが搭載されています。
フレーズ・ループのウェーブ・フォームは43種類と豊富に搭載されてお
り、XP-60/80, JV-2080のテンポ・シンク機能を使ってシーケンサー等
との同期が可能です。
サウンド・エフェクトにはギター、ブラス、スクラッチ、ボイス等の多
様な音色を搭載しています。また、リズム音色にはTR-808/707等の定番
音色に加え、Lo-Fi処理等の ヒップ・ホップ独特のエフェクト処理を行
ったドラム・サウンドを豊富に搭載しています。
これらを組み合わせて使用することにより、ヒップ・ホップを中心とし
た最新のダンス・シーンにマッチした音色で演奏することができます。

本製品に搭載しているウェーブ・フォームの一部は、米国 CHRONIC MUSIC社で
作成されたものです。
JV-80/880, JD-990では、エクスパンション・ボードのリズム・セット
を使用することはできません。
■エクスパンション・ボードの取り付けかた
※ 使用機器の電源スイッチをオフにしてください。
1. 使用機器の底部、または上部にあるカバーをはずします。
2. 基板ホルダーを、図2のような向きに合わせます。
3. エクスパンション・ボードのコネクターを、本体のコネクターに完
全に差し込みます。このとき3つの基板ホルダーの頭が、エクスパン
ション・ボードから出るようにします。
※ 回路部やコネクター部には手を触れないでください。
※ 基板を無理に押し込まないでください。装着しにくい場合、いった
ん基板を外してやり直してください。
4. 付属の固定用具で基板ホルダーをLOCK方向に回し、エクスパンショ
ン・ボードを固定します。
エ ク ス パ ン シ ョ ン ・ ボ ー ド の 取 り は ず し は 、 基 板 ホ ル ダ ー を
UNLOCK方向に回し、固定用具を引っかけて取りはずします。
※ 取り付けを終えたら、正しく取り付けられていることを再度確認してください。
最後にカバーを取り付けます。
5. エクスパンション・ボードの取り付けが正しく行われたかを確認します。
ウェーブフォームの選択画面（使用機器の取扱説明書参照）で"EXP"
が選べない（表示されない）ときは、もう一度エクスパンション・
ボードをつけ直してください。
