Thank you for choosing the Roland SR-JV80-10 "Bass & Drums"
Wave Expansion Board.
This expansion board consists of bass and drum sounds created by
five well-known musicians.
Bass : Marcus Miller, Abraham Laboriel, John Patitucci
Drums: Abe Laboriel Jr., Bob Wilson
Bass sounds are slap, fingered, picking, fretless, harmonics and
acoustic bass manners, various musical instruments. Waveforms
which include slide and playing noise that serve to improve the bass
performance expression and Patches. Drum sounds are phrase loops
with drum patterns of groove touch and Waveforms with a combination
of strong and weak percussion hits for 1 shot. As well as the Rhythm
Set, it provides various Patches that can cope with the Drum Set or
Velocity Mix/Switch, so that you can combine these Patches with the
Rhythm Set and create highly expressive drum sounds.
Waveforms: 241 Kinds
●
The Waveforms of this unit are selected from the CD-ROM's "BASS
LEGEND", "BURNING GROOVES" and "LIQUID GROOVES" of
Spectrasonics, the manufacture that has produced many high quality
CD-ROM's for S-series (sampler).
Patches
●
204 kinds designed for the JV-1010/1080/2080 & XP series; another
197 for the JV-80/880/90/1000.
(On the JD-990, you can use Patches designed to be used with the
JV-80/880/90/1000 if you "Convert Load" them first.)
Rhythm Sets
●
8 kinds designed for the JV-1010/1080/2080 & XP series; another 2
for the JV-90/1000.
The Rhythm Sets in this expansion board cannot be used with the
JV-80/880 or JD-990.

■INSTALLING THE EXPANSION BOARD

Turn off your instrument.
*
1. Remove the cover located on the bottom (or top) of your instrument.
2. Check that the plastic board holders are positioned as shown. Rotate
them if necessary.
3. While positioning the holes on the board over the board holders,
carefully insert the connector on the board into the socket on the
instrument. Make sure the connector is securely connected, and that
all three board holders project through the holes.
* Do not touch any of the printed circuit pathways or connection
terminals.
* Never use excessive force when installing a Expansion Board. If it
doesn't fit properly on the first attempt, remove the board and try again.
4. Use the supplied Installation Tool to turn the holders in the LOCK
direction, so the board will be fastened in place.
(To remove the Expansion Board, turn the board holders in the
UNLOCK direction, and lift up the board using the provided tool.
Remove the board and secure the cover plate.)
* When Expansion Board installation is complete, double-check your work.
5. Check if the Expansion Board is correctly installed.
If the "EXP" display cannot be selected (doesn't appear) in the Waveform
Selection Screen (refer to the owner's manual of the instrument you use),
remove the Expansion Board and install it properly.

このたびは、ウェーブ・エクスパンション・ボード SR-JV80-10「Bass &
Drums」をお買い上げ頂きましてまことにありがとうございます。
このエクスパンション・ボードは、５名の有名ミュージシャンによる高品位
なベース音色とドラム音色を搭載しています。

ベース音色は、スラップ、フィンガード、ピッキング、フレットレス、ハー
モニックス、アコースティック・ベース等の各奏法や楽器の種類別の音色を
はじめ、ベース奏法の表現力を向上させるスライド、プレイング・ノイズ等
を含んだウェーブ・フォーム、パッチを豊富に搭載しています。
ドラム音色は、グルーブ感溢れるドラム・パターンのフレーズ・ループや、
１ショット・ウェーブでは各楽器の強打、弱打でペアになったウェーブフォ
ームを含んでいます。
またリズム・セットのみならず、パッチにおいてもドラム・セットやベロシ
ティー・ミックス／スイッチに対応したセットを多数用意していますので、
これらのパッチとリズム・セットを組み合わせることにより、表現力豊かな
ドラム音色を演奏することができます。
● ウェーブフォーム：241種類
本製品のウェーブフォームは、Sシリーズ（サンプラー）用の高品位なCD-ROM
を 数 多 く 製 作 し て い る Spectrasonics社 の CD-ROM「 BASS LEGENDS」 、
「BURNING GROOVES」 、 「LIQUID GROOVES」の中からセレクトされています。
● パッチ
JV-1010/1080/2080, XPシリーズ専用
JV-80/880/90/1000専用
（JD-990では、パッチをコンバート・ロードして使用することができます。 ）
● リズム・セット
JV-1010/1080/2080, XPシリーズ専用
JV-90/1000専用
JV-80/880, JD-990では、エクスパンション・ボードのリズム・セット
を使用することはできません。
■エクスパンション・ボードの取り付けかた
※ 使用機器の電源スイッチをオフにしてください。
1. 使用機器の底部、または上部にあるカバーをはずします。
2. 基板ホルダーを、図2のような向きに合わせます。
3. エクスパンション・ボードのコネクターを、本体のコネクターに完
全に差し込みます。このとき3つの基板ホルダーの頭が、エクスパン
ション・ボードから出るようにします。
※ 回路部やコネクター部には手を触れないでください。
※ 基板を無理に押し込まないでください。装着しにくい場合、いった
ん基板を外してやり直してください。
4. 付属の固定用具で基板ホルダーをLOCK方向に回し、エクスパンショ
ン・ボードを固定します。
エ ク ス パ ン シ ョ ン ・ ボ ー ド の 取 り は ず し は 、 基 板 ホ ル ダ ー を
UNLOCK方向に回し、固定用具を引っかけて取りはずします。
※ 取り付けを終えたら、正しく取り付けられていることを再度確認してください。
最後にカバーを取り付けます。
5. エクスパンション・ボードの取り付けが正しく行われたかを確認します。
ウェーブフォームの選択画面（使用機器の取扱説明書参照）で"EXP"
が選べない（表示されない）ときは、もう一度エクスパンション・
ボードをつけ直してください。
