  • Page 2: Space Multi

Audio Multi-Effects Space Multi Space Multi can use what are called “spatial” effects, such as choruses that impart spaciousness and fatness to sounds, flangers that add undulations, delays that combine a delayed sound, and reverbs that add lingering reverberations. fig.4-09(Space Multi) Input L Enhancer Input R...
  • Page 3: Noise Suppressor

EQ MidG (middle gain) -12 – 0 – +12 dB Adjusts the middle frequency range tone. EQ High (high gain) -12 – 0 – +12 dB Adjusts the high frequency range tone. EQ Total (total gain) -12 – 0 – +12 dB Adjusts the volume.
  • Page 4: Reverb

Audio Multi-Effects CF Depth (depth) 0 – +32 – +127 Adjusts the depth of the Chorus effect. To use it for doubling, set the value to “0”. CF Fbk (feedback) -98 – +70 – +98 % Determines the amount of feedback. Increasing the value will emphasize the effect, creating a more unusual sound.
  • Page 5: Other Parameters

Audio Multi-Effects Other Parameters Level (level) 0 – +127 Adjusts the volume of the effect output.
  • Page 6: Guitar Multi

Audio Multi-Effects Guitar Multi Guitar Multi is an algorithm provided with effects such as a compressor to smooth out uneven sounds, distortion, chorus, and flanger, for recording with electric guitar in a wide variety of genres, ranging from clean sounds to distortion sounds. fig.4-10(Guitar Multi) Input L Compression...
  • Page 7: Overdrive/Distortion

Overdrive/Distortion This effect distorts the sound to create long sustain. OD SW (switch) Off, On Turns the overdrive or distortion effect on/off. OD Type (type) OD, Dst Selects the type of distortion. Overdrive: A natural overdrive sound is obtained. Distortion: Allows you to obtain a rich effect just like distortion, without losing the subtle nuance of the overdrive.
  • Page 8: Equalizer

Audio Multi-Effects Equalizer Adjusts the tone. EQ SW (switch) Off, On Switches the equalizer effect on/off. EQ Low (low gain) -12 – 0 – +12 db Adjusts the low frequency range tone. EQ High (high gain) -12 – 0 – +12 dB Adjusts the high frequency range tone.
  • Page 9: Chorus/Flanger

DL Bal (balance) D100:0W – D82:18W – D0:100W Adjust the balance between the effect sound volume and the direct sound volume. Chorus/Flanger Chorus:A sound with a subtly shifted pitch is added to the direct sound, making the final output sound thicker and broader.

Audio Multi-Effects Other Parameters Panpot (panpot) L100:0R – L50:50R – L0:100R Adjusts the pan of the effect output. Level (level) 0 – +127 Adjusts the volume of the effect output.
  • Page 11: Vocal/Bass Multi

Vocal/Bass Multi Vocal/Bass Multi is an algorithm suited to recording vocals or bass through a mike. In addition to such effects as a compressor to suppress differences in volume levels, and an enhancer to add modulation to sounds, it can also add spatial echoes with delay and reverb.
  • Page 12: Lo-Fi Processor

Audio Multi-Effects Lo-Fi Processor This cuts the high and low frequency range, and the frequencies for each range are freely adjustable. Or this produces natural distortion like that obtained with older audio equipment or an AM radio. It’s ideal for creating lo-fi sounds.
  • Page 13: Noise Suppressor

Noise Suppressor The noise suppressor leaves the original sound unmodified, but mutes only the noise during the silent intervals. NS SW (switch) Off, On Turns the noise suppressor effect on/off. NS Thrsh (threshold level) 0 – +4 – +127 Adjusts the level at which the noise suppressor will begin to take effect. When the signal drops below the specified level, it will be muted.
  • Page 14: Chorus/Flanger

Audio Multi-Effects Chorus/Flanger Chorus:A sound with a subtly shifted pitch is added to the direct sound, making the final output sound thicker and broader. Flanger:The flanging effect gives a twisting, jet-airplane-like character to the sound. CF SW (switch) Off, On Turns the chorus or flanger effect on/off.
  • Page 15: Groove Multi

Groove Multi This is a multi-effect optimized for dance music. It is convenient for processing a song from an audio CD or other source to create phrase materials. fig.4-12(Groove Multi) Input L Input R Comp/Limiter Depending on the setting of the parameters, this effect can be used as a compressor or as a limiter. A compressor holds down high-level signals and boosts low-level signals, evening out the volume.

Noise Suppressor The noise suppressor leaves the original sound unmodified, but mutes only the noise during the silent intervals. NS SW (switch) Off, On Turns the noise suppressor effect on/off. NS Thrsh (threshold level) 0 – +8 – +127 Adjusts the level at which the noise suppressor will begin to take effect. When the signal drops below the specified level, it will be muted.

Audio Multi-Effects Other Parameters Level (level) 0 – +127 Adjusts the volume of the effect output.
  • Page 19: Isolator

Isolator This cuts the level of individual frequency bands, thus eliminating unwanted sound portions. For example, you may find it convenient to use this to extract a desired sound (e.g., drums or vocal) from a phrase taken from an audio CD. fig.4-13(isolator) Input L Input R...
  • Page 20: Isolator

Audio Multi-Effects Isolator Divides the input sound into three frequency bands to abstract or eliminate the sound. IS SW (switch) Off, On Turns the isolator on/off. IS Low (low level) 0 – +127 Increases or decreases frequency bands in the low frequency band. IS Mid (middle level) 0 –...
  • Page 21: Pitch Shifter

Pitch Shifter A Pitch Shifter shifts the pitch of the original sound. PS SW (switch) Off, On Turns the pitch shifter effect on/off. PS Pitch (pitch) -36 – -12 – +12 semi-tone Adjusts the amount of pitch shift (the amount of pitch change) in semitone steps. PS Fine (fine) -100 –...
  • Page 22: Center Canceller

Audio Multi-Effects Center Canceller When a stereo source is being input from CD or DAT and so on, this cancels the sound which is located in the stereo center, such as the vocal or bass. fig.4-14(Center Canceller) Input L Input R Center Canceller Cancels sounds located in the center such as vocals and the bass.

  • Page 27: Surround Reverb

Surround Reverb This is a reverb that supports surround output for multiple (four) speakers. It expands the sound field for normal listening. * While a stereo system plays sounds through two speakers positioned right and left in front of the listener, a surround system creates the illusion of a two-dimensional sound space with the listener located in the middle.
