    OPERATION Description Operating control at the tow-bar These units are a reversible vibrating plate operating on the basis of the twin-shaft vibration system principle. The engine drives the exciter on the baseplate via a centrifugal clutch and a V-belt. The exciter produces the vibration re- quired for compaction as a result of the built-in imbalance.

  • Page 12 OPERATION Engine Operation - Honda Starting the engine • Turn the engine switch (4) to the «ON» position. • Move the fuel valve lever (2) to the «ON» position. • Move the choke lever (3) to the «CLOSE» position. • Pull the starter grip (5) lightly until you feel resistance, then pull briskly in the direction of the arrow as shown above.
  • Page 13 OPERATION Warm up Instructions Stopping the engine To stop the engine in an emergency, simply turn the engine switch to the «OFF» position. Important • Set the engine speed lever (1) to idle (MIN). • Allow the engine to run for 1-2 minutes in order to warm up.
