General description

General description
(Fig. 1)

  1. Beaker with warming reference guide
  2. Protective lid
  3. Pouring lid with OPEN button and CLOSE ring
  4. Flask

  • Be careful, the flask and beaker may contain hot water and therefore be a potential scalding hazard.
  • Always place a bottle or container in the beaker before you pour water into the beaker.
  • The outside of the beaker can become hot when it is filled with hot water from the flask.
  • The times stated in the warming reference guide should be considered as guidelines.
  • When you heat a bottle or container according to the times indicated in the warming reference guide, remove the bottle or container from the beaker immediately after this time has passed. If you leave it in the beaker longer, the drink or food may become too hot.
  • Always check the temperature of the drink or food before you feed your baby.
  • Keep all parts out of reach of children.

  • Do not use the flask to store or carry carbonated drinks.
  • To minimise bacterial growth, do not use the flask to store or carry warm drinks or warm baby food.
  • Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, solvents or chemicals to clean the thermal bottle warmer.
  • Do not clean the thermal bottle warmer in the dishwasher.
  • Do not put the thermal bottle warmer in a steriliser.
  • Preheat the flask with water to ensure optimal heat retention.
  • Never put the thermal bottle warmer in a microwave or conventional oven.
  • Always use the thermal bottle warmer on a flat and heat-resistant surface.
  • Make sure the pouring lid is fixed properly to prevent leakage.
  • Make sure the silicone ring on the pouring lid is in place and intact to prevent leakage.

Using the thermal bottle warmer

Preparing for use

information Tip: To keep the water in the flask hot as long as possible, preheat the inside of the flask by rinsing it with hot water before you fill it.

  1. Turn the beaker anticlockwise (1) and lift it off the flask (2). (Fig. 2)
  2. Turn the pouring lid anticlockwise (1) and lift it off the flask (2) (Fig. 3).
  3. Pour 500ml freshly boiled water into the flask. (Fig. 4)

warning Note: Do not overfill the flask to avoid splashing of hot water.

  1. Place the pouring lid back onto the flask (1) and turn it clockwise to fix it (2). (Fig. 5)

warning Note: Make sure the pouring lid is fixed properly and is closed.
  2. Place the beaker over the flask again (1) and turn it clockwise to fix it (2) (Fig. 6).

The thermal bottle warmer is now ready to go.

Heating up a bottle or container

  3. Turn the flask anticlockwise (1) and lift it off the protective lid (2) (Fig. 8).
  4. To open the pouring lid, press firmly on the OPEN button in the centre of the lid (Fig. 9).
  5. Pour hot water into the beaker (Fig. 10).

warning Note: Always make sure the water level stays below the neck of the bottle or container. Do not exceed the MAX indication on the beaker.

  1. Place the protective lid on the beaker (1) and turn it clockwise to fix it (2). This ensures fast and convenient warming of the drink or food (Fig. 11).

  2. To close the pouring lid, press the CLOSE ring (Fig. 12).

information Tip: Consult the warming reference guide for indications of warming times (see chapter 'Warming reference guide').

Warming reference guide

Warming reference guide
(Fig. 13)

5°C / 40°F : Out-of-fridge temperature.
20°C / 70°F: Room temperature

The warming reference guide (fig. 13) provides indications of the warming time required for warming up milk in the thermal bottle warmer.
The warming reference guide is based on Philips AVENT plastic bottles, Philips AVENT glass bottles and Philips AVENT storage containers, filled with milk at out-offridge (5°C/40°F ) or room temperature (20°C/70°F), surrounded by hot water that has been stored in the thermos flask for 4 hours (approx. 80°C to 90°C/176°F to 194°F).

Actual warming times may vary depending on the following factors:

  • The amount of the food or drink in the bottle or container.
  • The starting temperature of the food or drink before warming.
  • The temperature of the water from the flask.
  • The material and shape of the bottle or container.
  • Whether you are heating up food or drink. Heating up food with the thermal bottle warmer works in the same way as heating up a drink, but takes a few more minutes. Stir the food and test its temperature to make sure it is not too hot for your baby.

Cleaning

Never use aggressive cleaning agents, solvents or chemicals to clean the thermal bottle warmer.

warning Do not clean the flask in a dishwasher.

  1. Empty the beaker and the flask after every use.
  2. Clean the beaker and flask with warm water and some washing-up liquid.
  3. Rinse the beaker and flask thoroughly with fresh water.
  4. To clean the pouring lid, turn the top part anticlockwise (1) to remove it from the bottom part (2). Clean both parts with warm water and some washing-up liquid and rinse them thoroughly with fresh water. (Fig. 14)

warning Note: Handle both parts of the pouring lid with care.
  5. Let all parts of the thermal bottle warmer dry completely.
