B. Component Service Information
When replacing a component listed below, see the notes to help ensure proper
operation.
Component
Compressor
Install a new start relay and compressor external protector. WARNING! To reduce the
risk of electric shock, be sure to reconnect the compressor's ground wire.
Cabinet
After working with or around the cabinet thermistor, make sure the cabinet thermistor is in

its correct position and secure.
Defrost
After working with or around the defrost thermistor on an SR or UF/WF, make sure the
Thermistor
defrost thermistor wire is not touching the defrost heater and the defrost thermistor is in its
correct position and secure.
