3.1 Introduction

This chapter introduces the RayData, explains how to turn it on and off,
describes the display and the functions of the keys, and explains how to
perform some basic operations.
It covers the following topics:
• Using the keys
• Turning the RayData on and off
• The display
• Changing the information displayed
• Changing the lighting
• Using the Locked Heading facility
• Man overboard (MOB)
