3.2 Universal Send and Fax Options

3.2.1 Universal Send Trace & Smooth PDF Kit
• Enables the user to convert the text and line drawings of a scanned image to
scalable outline data. The outline data (Trace) can be extracted and used in
Adobe Illustrator. The smoothing process smoothes out the text of the outline
data to make it appear less jagged when viewed on a computer monitor or in
print.

3.2.2 Universal Send Digital User Signature Kit

• Enables the user to add a digital user signature obtained from a certificate
authority to a PDF or XPS file. This enables the recipient of a PDF or XPS file
to verify which user signed it.

3.2.3 Super G3 FAX Board-AX1

• Provides a single line to send and receive fax documents.
• Documents that have been created in applications can also be sent directly
from a computer via a network.

3.2.4 Super G3 2nd Line Fax Board-AX1

• Provides two lines to send and receive fax documents.
• Requires the Super G3 FAX Board-AX1.

3.2.5 Super G3 3rd/4th Line Fax Board-AX1

• Provides up to four lines to send and receive fax documents.
• Requires the Super G3 FAX Board-AX1 and Super G3 2nd Line Fax
Board-AX1.

3.2.6 Remote Fax Kit

• Enables the user to share the Fax function, if there is an imageRUNNER
ADVANCE DX machine (with the Remote Fax Kit installed) and another
imageRUNNER ADVANCE or imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX machine (that
has the Super G3 FAX Board installed) on the same network.
• If the above condition is true, then fax documents can be sent and received
remotely between the two machines.
• The Remote Fax Kit-A1 requires license activation via the LMS.
• The Remote Fax Kit and the Super G3 FAX Board-AX1 cannot be installed
together.

3.2.7 IP FAX Expansion Kit

Enables the user to fax over VoIP lines that support the T.38 Transmission
Control Protocol.
