West Bend MICROWAVE POPCORN POPPER Manual

  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by or near children.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • Extreme caution must be used when emptying popcorn.
    Always remove lid away from you so that steam, residual hot oil, or hot water will not cause burns.

USING YOUR MICROWAVE POPCORN POPPER

  1. Follow cleaning instructions in "Cleaning your Microwave Popcorn Popper" section.
  2. Place ¼ to cup of popcorn kernels into the popper bowl.
  3. If desired, add 2 tbsp. vegetable oil to bowl prior to popping. Oil is not necessary to pop popcorn.
  4. Cover bowl with lid and microwave on high power for 2 ½ to 3 minutes. Times may vary by microwave. Popcorn is done when there is a pause of 2-3 seconds between pops.
  5. Bowl is HOT, remove from microwave with mitts or hotpads. Add seasonings, melted butter or margarine to popcorn if desired.

CLEANING YOUR MICROWAVE POPCORN POPPER

Hand wash popper in hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do NOT wash bowl or cover in an automatic dishwasher.
