The August DVB400 may show "no signal" after installing a longer HDMI lead because longer HDMI cables can cause signal degradation or loss, especially if they are of poor quality or exceed recommended lengths. This can result in the set-top box failing to transmit a stable signal to the TV. To resolve this, try using a shorter or higher-quality HDMI cable.
