BATTERY CARE
WARNING:
Battery acid leakage can cause personal injury and cause damage to the
product and surrounding property. If battery leakage occurs, thoroughly wash
any affected skin, making sure to keep battery acid away from eyes, ears,
nose and mouth. Immediately wash any clothing or other surface that comes
in contact with leaked battery acid. If a chemical burn occurs or if irritation
persists, seek medical attention.
Do not incinerate or expose batteries to excessive heat, even if they are
severely damaged or completely worn out as batteries can rupture or explode.
Dispose according to Local, State, or Federal regulations.
Batteries are to be inserted following the polarity markings on the product.
NEVER mix old and new batteries or different brands of batteries. Replace all
batteries at the same time.
NEVER use alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd), or
Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries with this product. Use only rechargeable Nickel
Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries.
Promptly remove exhausted batteries from product.
Remove batteries before extended storage.
STEPS FOR BATTERY INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT:

1.
If this is the first time setting up the device, install the included AA
NIMH rechargeable batteries. If replacing used batteries, replace with
2 x 1.2V AA NIMH rechargeable batteries

Remove battery access panel
3.
Remove battery cover located behind access panel. Note: battery cov-
er has a moisture seal around its perimeter that can make cover remov-
al more difficult.
4.
Move to step 5 if this is first time setup. If replacing batteries, remove
old batteries and dispose of according to local/state and federal regu-
lations

Insert new batteries in the orientation as noted in the inner label dia-
gram in battery compartment.
6.
Re-install battery cover and then battery access panel.
7.
New batteries may require full sunlight for several hours to attain
proper charge.
