visible. This is your visual reminder that data cannot be written to the tape.
Move the write-protect switch to the right to disable write protection (existing

media unless the cartridge is write-protected via firmware). When write-
protection is disabled, no orange rectangle is visible.
When a data cartridge is loaded in the drive and the data cartridge's write-protect
switch is in its write-protected position (refer to
