5. Before starting the equipment

Warning!
Always remove the battery pack before making
adjustments to the equipment.
5.1 Changing the saw blade (Fig. 2)
Warning!
Switch off the universal saw and pull out the
battery pack each time before doing any work on
the machine and changing the blade.
Turn the ring (6) on the blade holder (4) as shown
in Fig. 2 until the blade (7) lets itself be slipped
into the slot of the blade holder (4). When you
now let go of the ring (6) again, the ring (6)
should return to its starting position. If this fails to
happen, try turning the ring (6) by hand into its
starting position.
Now pull on the blade to check whether it is tightly
seated in the holder.
5.2 Adjusting the soleplate (Fig. 3)
Warning!
Pull out the battery pack.
To adjust the soleplate, press the soleplate
locking button (5) on the right-hand side (looking
from the bottom) in order to unlock the soleplate
(3). Set the required distance and press the
soleplate locking button (5) on the left-hand
side (looking from the bottom) in order to lock
the soleplate again. Check that the soleplate is
secure.
5.3 Fitting the battery (Fig. 4)
Push the battery into the battery mount provided.
When the battery is positioned as in Fig. 4, make
sure that the pushlock button latches in place! To
take out the battery, press the pushlock button
(10) and remove the battery.

6. Operation

6.1 On/Off switch (Fig. 1/Item 1)
Switching on:
Press the locking button (2) and the On/Off switch
(1).
Infi nitely variable stroke speed control is possible
with the On/Off switch (1). The further you push
the switch, the higher the stroke speed.

Switching off :
Release the locking button (2) and the ON/OFF
switch (1) at the same time
6.2 Using the jig saw (Fig. 6)
Place the reciprocating saw, as shown in Fig. 6,
on the material you want to cut. Switch on the
universal saw and push the universal saw against
the material you want to cut. The cutting speed
must be adjusted to the material.
6.3 Swiveling the handle (Fig. 7 / Item 9)
The handle (8) can be swiveled 90° to the left
and right. To do so, pull the lock button (9) a little
backwards and swivel the handle (8) 90° to the
left or right. Let the lock button (9) engage again.
Caution! When the lock button (9) engages it
must make an audible click!
6.4 Charging the Li battery pack
The corresponding instructions can be found
in the original operating instructions for your
charger.
6.5 Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 5 / item
11)
Press the battery capacity indicator switch (12).
The battery capacity indicator (11) shows the
charge status of the battery using 3 LEDs.
All 3 LEDs lit:
The battery is fully charged.
2 or 1 LED(s) lit:
The battery has an adequate remaining charge.
1 LED fl ashing:
The battery is empty, recharge the battery.
All LEDs fl ashing:
The battery pack has been deep-discharged and
is defective. Do not re-use or charge a defective
battery pack.
