Standard overlock seams and rolled hems

Sewing standard overlock seams

push the seam width finger forward.
Note: The seam width finger switch must
be moved all the way toward the adjust-
ment mark S.

Sewing rolled hems

slide the seam width finger back.
Note: The seam width finger switch must
be moved all the way toward the adjust-
ment mark R.

Linking and sample seams

With the machine fully threaded, place all thread under the presser foot
toward the back, slightly toward the left, across the throat plate.
Hold the threads slightly taut.
Turn the hand wheel 2 to 3 full turns toward you to start forming the
thread chain.
Lower the presser foot.
Continue holding on to the thread chain and activate the foot control
until the free chain is approx. 5–7.5 cm.
Place the fabric piece under the presser foot from the front, and sew a
sample seam.
Note: Never pull the fabric piece whilst sewing, as the machine could
otherwise bend and break.
