Section 4 - Configuration
VLAN allows for services such as Triple-Play, and divides a network into segments that can only be accessed by other devices in the same VLAN.
Status: Click the slider to enable the VLAN feature.
Service Select Manual to enter VLAN settings manually or select the service
Provider: provider you are using from the drop down menu for automatic
configuration.
Internet VLAN Enter the VLAN ID for your Internet connection as provided by your
ID: ISP.
IPTV VLAN ID: Enter the VLAN ID for your digital cable as provided by your ISP.
VoIP VLAN ID: Enter the VLAN ID for your Voice over IP network as provided by
your ISP.
Interface: In the table below, you can select the type of data (Internet, digital
cable, or Voice over IP) coming from the WAN connection to each
interface on the DIR-842.
Click Save when you are done.
