5. SETTING INTO OPERATION
First switch off or mute the units to be connected to prevent switching noise.
5.1 Connecting the signal sources
1. Connect the outputs of your musical instruments (balanced or unbalanced) via 6.3 mm plugs to the
inputs 1 and 2. The connection cables between the signal sources and the DI box should be as short as
possible in order to reduce interference.
2. With the front sliding switch the input signals can be attenuated and thus matched to the input level of
the following mixer: use the left position 0 dB e.g. for guitars, the center position for -20 dB for
instruments with line level and the right position -40 dB for loudspeakers.
5.2 Connecting the mixer
The balanced output signals with microphone level are present at the outputs 1 and 2. Connect the outputs
via balanced cables of high quality to the microphone inputs of a mixer.
5.3 Groundlift switch
Should hum loops occur set the switch to the lower position LIFT. Then the ground between the inputs and
the outputs is separated.
