    Section 1 1.4 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS The engine installed on this mower is shipped "dry" from the factory. Add the recommended amount of oil to the engine per the engine operator's manual supplied with this mower. In an open area, remove the grass bag, hardware bag and mower from the packaging.

    Section 4 To prevent tipping or loss of control, do not start or stop suddenly, avoid unnecessary turns and travel at reduced speed. If tires lose traction, disengage the blade and proceed slowly off the slope. Avoid sudden starts when mowing on slopes. Travel across the slope whenever possible.

Raise the mower to the highest setting for the first pass and then make a second pass to the desired height. DANGER Use a slow travel speed for trimming purposes.     Section 4 4.13 ADJUSTING CUTTING HEIGHT The mower deck can be adjusted from a height of 1-1/2 inches to 4-1/2 inches at 1/2-inch intervals.     Section 6 ADJUSTMENTS 6.1 SELF-PROPEL DRIVE ADJUSTMENTS An adjustment to the self-propel system should be made whenever a new cable is installed. REMOVE COVER SPEED SELECT CONTROL CABLE ADJUSTMENT Shut the engine off and wait for all moving parts to stop. Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug.
