2-2-10 Force Refreshing

You can set force refreshing for when the value of a BOOL type is modified.
Refer to the Sysmac Studio Version 1 Operation Manual (Cat. No. W504) for details on force refresh-
ing.

Precautions for Correct Use
• Perform the force refreshing operation after confirming that there will no impact on the equip-
ment.
• Force refreshing overwrites the set value and refreshes the I/O, regardless of the user pro-
gram execution results.
Therefore, a contact not target for I/O refreshing will first be set to the set value by this func-
tion but will then be changed by writing with the user program.
• Differences in the forced state may result in an unexpected operation by the control target.
• You cannot check the force refreshing state from the Ladder Monitor. If you need to check the
force refreshing state, change the settings with Sysmac Studio.
• Although you can set the force refreshing state from the keypad, you cannot cancel it.
Check forced state
Tap Menu - Check forced state to collectively release all forced values.
Furthermore, you can restrict operation by configuring the security setting. Refer to 3-3-4 Project Secu-
rity on page 3-6 for the setting procedure.
