    INTRODUCTION This manual gives information about the commencement of operation, use and maintenance of your newly trailer safety jack. Also included in this manual are a number of safety instructions to create a safe working environment. This trailer safety jack is intended to be used to support or jack the end of a semi-trailer that is parked against a loading dock and not connected to a truck’s fifth wheel.

    TRANSPORT AND STORAGE The trailer safety jack must always be stored level, in a dry and temperature-controlled environment. Transport the trailer safety jack to the work area by either (a) wheeling it or (b) lifting and carrying it. The trailer safety jack should always be wheeled to the work area if possible – only lift and carry the safety jack if it cannot be wheeled safely.

    OPERATION 6.1. Safety instructions for operating the product • Keep the work area well illuminated. • Make sure that the trailer safety jack make a firm contact with the ground. • When the trailer safety jack is in use make sure that no persons are in the vicinity of the trailer safety jack or lie down underneath the semi trailer to prevent serious injuries.
  • Page 12 If you use the trailer safety jack as a support when loading the trailer, we recommend that there is a distance of about 10 centimetres (3.90 inches) between the trailer safety jack and the trailer. The load in the trailer will cause the trailer to lower. This makes it easier to remove the trailer safety jack after the work has been done.

Do not use solvents, petrol, strong detergents etc. If the equipment is heavily soiled, the use of a pressure cleaner is only permitted providing that it is set to a maximum of 200 bar.
