Print trigger: Internal or External Photocell

The printer can operate with an internal or external photocell:
-
Internal photocells in the chassis: FTC_INT1 and FTC_INT2
-
External photocell: FTC_EXT (See 'Accessories' Appendix)
To select which photocell you want to work with for print triggering, see chapter 'Settings > Level
2 > Print Setup'.

Controlling Printing Speed

There are three different ways to determine the speed at which the product is passing in front
of the printer:
-
Fixed speed.
-
Speed calculated using internal calculation between the two internal photocells.
-
Speed calculated using an external encoder.
To select which method is used for calculating the print speed, see chapter Settings > Level 2 >
Print Setup'.
NOTES:
-
If you select External Encoder, you will have to configure the Resolution (pulses per
turn) and Wheel Diameter settings. The settings for the standard encoder are:
o Resolution = 5000
o Wheel diameter = 72.5 mm
-
See the 'Accessories' Appendix 4 for more details about the standard external
encoder.
