    KNOW YOUR BAND SAW TOOL PURPOSE Band saws are used to cut wood. Refer to the following diagrams to become familiarized with all the parts and controls of your band saw. The components will be referred to later in the manual for assembly and operation instructions.

Do not tighten them yet – just seat them in the holes. 2. With the ruler-side up, slide the slots on the guide rail (B) over the threaded shafts of the knobs.

The higher setting is generally appropriate for soft woods; the lower setting is generally appropriate for hard woods.
