This can cause severe engine damage. Engine temperature gauge With the ignition switched on, this gauge indicates the engine coolant temperature.

Select up to four functions depending on the position of the ignition switch. To switch between the functions, press the MODE button in quick succession.

The steering wheel cancels the signal when the turn is completed. In some turns (such as changing lanes) the steering wheel is not rotated enough to cancel the signal.

  • Page 78 Chapter 6 EMERGENCIES ACCIDENTS All motorists are advised to learn what to do at the scene of an accident, particularly where persons are injured. Injured people can choke to death if their air passages are not cleared. They can bleed to death unless the bleeding is stopped. They may require mouth-to mouth resuscitation or may have to be moved, even though badly injured.

Follow state and local laws. Drive slowly and avoid jerky movements during towing operations. Power assist for brakes is not available when the engine is off. More effort to brake and steer will be required.

Ensure that the battery in the assisting vehicle has a negative earth and the same voltage rating. The capacity of the assisting battery must not be substantially lower than that of the discharged battery.

Adjust the seats to suit the occupant's height. The driver should be able to sit upright with slightly bent arms when holding the upper area of the steering wheel.

Bull bars Fitting a bull bar, fitting a nudge bar or making other modifications to the front of the vehicle can change the impact speed that would normally trigger airbag deployment.
