6 Operation

6.1 Getting Started

Find below the first basic steps to work with the camera:
1.
Powering
Supply power to the camera either via Power over Ethernet (PoE) or directly via the 12-wire connector
on the back of the housing, see section 5.5 Powering, page 27.
2.
Green LED
After applying voltage, the camera is in the warm-up phase, the status indicator on the back of the
camera housing is red. After a few seconds, the LED must turn to solid green. A blinking or other colors
indicate an error, see section 6.2
3.
Networking
To establish the communication, you need to know the IP address of the camera. In the factory default
setting, the camera comes in the static IP address mode and the address preset to 192.168.42.132
4.
Communicating
Open a standard web browser on a computer. Type the camera's IP address in the address line of the
browser. After the communication has been successfully established, the home page of the camera's
internal website appears with the login information. The following credentials are given with factory
default.
Username: admin
Password: admin
5.
Configuring
For an object area that is to be analyzed in particular, you can generate an AOI value following a specific
measurement function (Min, Max, Avg), see section 7.2.1

6.2 LED Status Indicator

The TV30 camera has a built-in multi-color LED in the rear panel, which indicates the current health and alarm
status.
The LED patterns are:
1.
Blinking yellow – booting and warming-up
2.
Solid green – no errors, IP address obtained, and Ethernet cable connected
3.
Blinking red – various errors
4.
Blinking green – flash memory being updated
5.
Solid blue – shutter closed
6.
Solid red – over ambient temperature
