Mounting the Guard
Assembly
1. Position the guard assembly onto the main
frame arms until the 4 U-clamps straddle the
arms and the guard openings are centered over
the springs (Figure

2. Loosely secure the U-clamps to the arms by
inserting the retaining bolts into the weld nuts on
the U-clamps (Figure
3. Install the remaining guards the same way and
tighten all the mounting fasteners.

Mounting the Jack Mount
(686 Aerator Only)
1. Obtain a Jack Kit (Toro Part No. 106-9660) from
an authorized Toro distributor.
2. Align the jack mount holes with the holes in the
right tongue assembly
Note:
Position the jack mount tube toward the
front.

3. Secure the jack mount to the tongue assembly
with bolts and locknuts
4. Tighten the bolts to 2.2 to kg/m (16 to 18 ft-lb).
