10. Reinstall retaining ring. See Figure 151.
11. Turn impeller shaft by hand to ensure shaft rotates
easily.

12. Reinstall one flat steel washer into left side of
gearcase.
13. Align washer with gearcase hole and reinstall auger
shaft through gear.
IMPORTANT: Ensure auger shaft key aligns with gear
keyway.

14. Reinstall one flat steel washer and bushing onto right
auger shaft end.
IMPORTANT: Stepped-down side of bushing MUST be
positioned toward gearcase.
15. With a driver, such as a 1 1/4" deep-well socket, drive
bushing into gearcase until groove is just beyond
interior gearcase wall. See Figure 154.
