Please read the entire instruction manual before use and save it for future reference. We reserve the right for any
errors in text or images and for making any necessary technical changes to this document. If you should have
any questions concerning technical problems please contact our Customer Services.
Installation
Remember to turn off the electricity before installing the dimmer switch. The dimmer switch does not completely
break the electrical circuit, so if you are going to work on your light socket you should isolate the circuit at
the consumer unit (fuse box).
Note: All permanent electrical installations must be performed by a competent electrician.
1.
Make sure that your power supply is 230 V AC and that the load applied to the dimmer switch consists
exclusively of incandescent or halogen lamps.
2.
Disconnect the power to the circuit in which you wish to install the dimmer switch.
3.
Pull off the control knob and undo the nut. Remove the face plates.
4.
Connect the wires to the dimmer switch as in the diagram and tighten the screws.
5.
Push the dimmer switch into the pattress and secure it using the two locking screws.
6.
Refit the face plates, the nut and the knob.
7.
Turn on the power and test the switch to see if it functions properly.
Do not connect
Inductive loads of any kind.
Fluorescent tubes or CFLs/energy saving lamps.
The dimmer switch and/or lamps can be damaged if you connect
incorrect loads (see above) to the dimmer switch.
Fuse
The dimmer switch is protected by a fuse (250 V 1.25 A slow-blow fuse)
(5 x 20 mm). The fuse will blow if the switch is loaded with more than 300 W.
Replace the fuse as follows:
1.
Disconnect the power to the circuit in which you wish to install the dimmer switch.
2.
Pull off the control knob.
3.
The fuse is located in a fuse holder under the push button, grip the little handle and pull the fuse holder out.
Replace the fuse with one of the same rating.
Operation
Turn the knob clockwise to switch the light on and increase the light level.
Turn the knob anticlockwise to decrease the light level and switch the light off.
Disposal
When it is time to dispose of this product, do so in accordance with local regulations.
